Guacamole Taqueria

My husband is from Mexico. So by default he has high standards when it comes to Mexican food. We were expecting to be disappointed but instead were pleasantly surprised by the food.

The pros: The tacos are freshly made and put into two small corn tortillas each (as it should be). The meat in the tacos was very tasty too. We tried the chicharron, arrachera, and al pastor which were all very tasty. Very close to what you would find in a typical taqueria in Mexico. The guacamole is as good as you'll find in any Mexican restaurant. The flautas were also crispy and tasty.

The cons: Not enough chips with the guacamole. You'll need to order more chips.

We would also recommend visiting the restaurant. It has been very nicely decorated.

SOOO GOOOD!!! I have to admit I hadnt ordered from here in months because of bad past experiences with them BUT I GAVE THEM A CHANCE TODAY & Im soooo happy i did! The food is a little pricey, $13 for a veggie quesadilla! But it was REALLY GOOD! The order came in less than 20 mins (YASSSS finally since Im only one block away) and the salad w/ their house dressing was DELICIOUS! Thank you for not disappointing me! I will eat here again, maybe at the actual restaurant

THE CHICKEN BURRITO WITH CHORIZO WAS BOMB ! IT WAS AWESOME THE MELTED CHEESE ON TOP DRIPPED IN MEXICAN SPICY GREEN SAUCE, STUFFED WITH RICE, ONIONS, LETTUCE, BEANS,CHICKEN AND CHORIZO !!!! TOPPED OFF WITH SOUR CREAM, GUACAMOLE AND PICO DE GALLO ! DEFITNETLY WILL BE ORDERING FROM HERE !

Tacos in NYC have been a let down. Only a hand few of places are decent.

Guacamole Taqueria is authentic. Even with delivery it was above expectations for NY. Great flavor especially the vegetarian taco. Great salsas as well.

Highly recommend.

Food was delicious & on time. I ordered a chicken quesadilla & enchiladas. I had asked for extra guac & sour cream not knowing they were already included. None of it went to waste though. Yum!

So, I have to give quite a bit of credit, because Guacamole Taqueria went above and beyond to get my food to me. Essentially, my iPhone glitched, and I wasn't receiving calls (even our door system in the apartment building I'm in relies on me being able to answer a call). I could call people, but nothing was getting through to me. The owner, who was making the delivery, waited and repeatedly tried to get through until finally our door system got through to me. I feel bad for putting my favorite taco place through this, and I'll definitely order again... after I've visited AT&T to see what's going on with my phone!

I've ordered from here a few times now, and their service is great! Very fast delivery, and great food. I recommend the chicken chorizo burrito, I've had it a a couple times. The quality may vary from time to time, I imagine due to different cooks or different prep times. But, when it's at it's best it is absolutely perfect!

Food is always good and my delivery usually comes earlier than the projected time. Carnitas is SO delicious, but I like all their tacos. Guacamole is very good! Thanks to Guacamole Taqueria I pretty much stopped making my own dinner altogether. Its glorious.

Really enjoyed the Hanger steak tacos! The snapper one is interesting and worth a try. The side of rice and beans is really great, not a fan of peas being in my rice, but grateful that they were minimal and easy to pick out.

I was kind of annoyed at the $15.00 minimum! So I got the vegetarian burrito (without dairy products) and a couple of Veggie tacos! However - So worth it! It was all awesome!! I can't wait for tomorrow to order it again!
